From the oldest Carnival in the province to the festive celebrations of the August Festa Major, including pilgrimages, concerts, and gastronomic tastings, each event reflects the town’s rich culture and hospitality. JANUARY
5th: Twelfth Night. Arrival and grand parade of Their Majesties the Kings from the East.

 

FEBRUARY OR MARCH
Carnival. The oldest carnival in the province and one of the town’s most popular festivities.

 

MARCH OR APRIL
Holy Week. Religious celebrations.

 

APRIL
23rd: Saint George’s Day. Book and rose festival. Popular events.

 

MAY OR JUNE
Corpus Christi. Flower carpets in the town’s main streets.

 

JUNE
23rd: Saint John’s Eve. Bonfire, fire runs (correfocs) and the traditional fireworks display.
29th: Saint Peter’s Day. Patron saint of fishermen. Popular dance and “castellers” (human towers).

 

AUGUST
15th and 16th: Festa Major. Coinciding with this festivity and throughout the month, concerts of classical, modern and rock music are held, along with theatrical shows, popular dances, folk gatherings, exhibitions, sports competitions, fireworks, sardana dances, parades of giants and big-heads, and an end-of-festival popular dance.

 

SEPTEMBER
11th: National Day of Catalonia. Throughout the day, conferences and popular events are held.

 

DECEMBER
CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES. Performances of “Pastorets”, classical music concerts, children and youth entertainment fair, election of the Pubilla of Roses.
NEW YEAR’S EVE. Welcome the new year with the chimes and fireworks.
